MKS investigations team further bolstered by new accreditation
- MKS investigator Harley Thomas passes CFE qualification
- Harley will soon be joined by a further recruit to the Investigations Unit
Martin Kenney & Co’s newest investigator, Harley Thomas, has passed stringent exams to become a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), a highly-coveted qualification provided by the world’s largest anti-fraud organisation, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).
Becoming a CFE gives extra credence in terms of being able to undertake anti-fraud-related tasks, such as fraud risk assessments, and potentially even act as an expert witness in court proceedings for issues related to fraud.
A qualified accountant who holds an MSc in Financial Investigation from the School of Justice at the University of Central Lancashire, Harley recently also recently received his ACAMS (Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists) accreditation.
His latest qualification further bolsters the capabilities of the MKS Investigations Unit, which is shortly to add an additional member to its team.
Harley Thomas said:
“I’m delighted to have gained the CFE qualification from one of the world’s most prestigious anti-fraud organisations. I’m looking forward to be able to put my newly gained skillset into practice for our clients.”
MKS Managing Partner, Martin Kenney added:
“Well done Harley, once again. The ACFE is recognised as the world’s leading anti-fraud organisation and a CFE qualification further expands the capabilities of our investigations team, allowing CFE-qualified team members like Harley a much greater skillset to both tackle and investigate the most complex fraud cases.”
Head of Investigations, Tony McClements, also said:
“We’re all proud of Harley and his diligent, hard work on behalf of the team. His new skills have already added depth to our investigations and I’m sure will prove invaluable going ahead.”
