A native of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Mr. Gilliland holds a degree in Modern History, Economic History and Politics from the University of London, as well a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from Nottingham Law School and a Diploma in Legal Practice also from Nottingham Law School.

Mr. Gilliland has more than 10 years post-qualification experience specialising in international fraud litigation and asset recovery. Mr. Gilliland has been involved in a number of significant multi-jurisdictional cases in jurisdictions such as Cyprus, Gibraltar, Guernsey, Switzerland, France, Bermuda, the Netherlands, Russia, Ukraine, Israel, Cayman, Belize, Dominica, Antigua and Turkey.

Mr. Gilliland is admitted as a solicitor-advocate in England and Wales, the British Virgin Islands and St Vincent and the Grenadines.
